Welcome to Plushie Scout! These terms govern your use of the Plushie Scout mobile application, operated by KLMN Studio LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Using Plushie Scout
Plushie Scout is a community map for finding plush toys in stores. Guests can browse vetted store summaries and general rumor summaries without an account. A free sign-in unlocks community details and photos. Creating pins, uploading photos, and earning patches require a one-time "Scout Pass" purchase at the price shown by your app store. No subscriptions and no ads, ever.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time email code or through Google or Apple. You are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in account. One person, one account. Do not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
Your content
You own the photos, captions, and notes you post. By uploading content to Plushie Scout, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display that content to signed-in users within the app. Guest discovery, map, and store responses do not include or list photos, captions, plushie names, notes, scout identity, account identifiers, or private collections. You may request removal of your content at any time.
Content rules
By using Plushie Scout, you agree not to:
- Post photos with recognizable faces, names, license plates, or other identifying details (hands or arms holding a plushie are okay)
- Upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
- Pin fake, duplicate, or non-existent stores
- Pin residential addresses or private property
- Harass other users or abuse the reporting system
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Use the app for commercial purposes (e.g., advertising your own store)
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Accuracy
Plushie Scout relies on community contributions. We do not guarantee that any store listed actually has plush toys in stock at any given time. Stock changes frequently — always check before making a special trip.
Reporting
If you see a pin that looks incorrect, inappropriate, or suspicious, use the Report button. A pin with three or more reports is hidden automatically pending review, and its photos are hidden once more than one scout reports it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings (or by emailing privacy@plushiescout.app). This removes your uploaded photos and personal data and anonymizes your account; the pins you placed stay on the community map, credited to "A Wandering Scout", so other scouts don't lose them.
Intellectual property
The Plushie Scout name, design, scout patch artwork, and app interface are the property of KLMN Studio LLC. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.
In-app purchases
Any purchases are processed by Apple or Google through their respective app stores. Refund requests should be directed to the platform where you made the purchase. We do not process payments directly.
No warranty
Plushie Scout is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data accuracy, or that the app will meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KLMN Studio LLC and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to wasted trips to stores, lost data, or device issues.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Plushie Scout at any time for violations of these terms. You may stop using the app at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases, but these terms survive as applicable.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users in the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
